Ah, Khairy Jamaluddin
My blogging buddy, Captain Ancient Mariner, once told me I couldn’t rule out politics in my life. I cannot remain apolitical forever, I must make a stand, he added spiritedly.
My best friend said I must appear supportive towards my husband’s political activities in UMNO. I kept quiet, bought her another cup of coffee at Dome.
Truth be told, I support everything my husband does. You can’t blame me: I am in love with the man.
Some commentators in this blog have been guessing forever whether I am on this or that side – which is no better than the other, to tell you honestly.
Some called me a Mahathirist. Perhaps. At least, I am honest about it.
Shortly after September 16 last year, I slayed Anwar Ibrahim with words in a local newspaper. I will never be accepted in that camp. Might as well, I never understand what is it he is fighting for.
However, my heart bleeds for my first love in politics, UMNO, after seeing Khairy toppled Khir and Muhkiz in a race to head the youth wing.
I was dead wrong. I rooted for Mukhriz to blow a breath of fresh air into the wing. Heck, I even wrote my flawed opinion in Malaysiakini.
Don’t get me started on Khir Toyo; I will need at least 5 individual postings on him. Khir has carved his own tombstone in politics: he lost Selangor to the Opposition, he has cloud of graft charges atop his head, and now he lost the fight to head UMNO Youth.
But, have you looked at the photo of the newly elected UMNO Youth in today’s Malay Mail? I let you be the judge.

Its okay Elviza, you are still young and you are not betraying the nations with your antiques like them all. The bro in law came cried after the result he was MM’s man. I think he was one of the brawlers last night! Geez, politics make people crazy.

He is very energetic and youthful dont you think so?…a good sign as the new KP in performing rigorous task ahead.
But I can’t help noticing his buddies around him….are mostly quite chubby ….a sign of a well fed people I think…
btw…..that was him..jumping in joy to meet and shake Mukhriz’s hand. Nothing wrong with that.
Chele, as a non-UMNO supporter, I can’t say which is a better choice of candidate. Heads they win, tails you lose. There isnt even a lesser of any evils. I understand that as UMNO, its role is to defend and preserve Malay rights but I am sad that any call for unifying the races are simply lip service. I dont want to raise by child in a Malaysia where the leader of the Youth Wing of a leading party supports the course of mat rempits and makes racist statements but this is my home and my children’s. BN does not defend Malaysian rights – it defends UMNO’s rights. I am not saying PR is any better nor am I buying in to Anwar Ibrahim’s empty promises (I have never been a supporter). So the question that begs to be answered is who is defending Malaysian rights? We live on precariously, between the devil and the deep blue sea… sigh!

ooohhh my friend just told me that Khir should open a salon. I didn’t understand her and only then she told me about the transformation. hehehe.
Fooh… looking at the posting of this title, I thought you are smitten by him! Or you want to subscribe to that bleeding heart liberals. Or you want to use that “we need some ambitious, energetic, young, educated (oxford mah!) boyman to inject new blood bla…bla…bla… kinda of argument.”

Last Wednesday nite when Ketua Pemuda’s result was announced is the exact time and day BN’s hope to win the 3 by-elections gone down the drain and its hope is as good as me bedding Megan Fox. The delegates couldn’t be more wrong in reading the grassroot’s and rakyat’s feeling on who they want.
Pakatan Rakyat will spin KJ’s win to death during the campaign. Pemuda has given PR the magic bullet to shoot BN over and over again.
“Mereka pilih pesalah laku rasuah sebagai pemimpin. Mereke bersorak apabila pesalah rasuah menang. Kemudian mereka bergaduh sesama sendiri. Anda mahu pemimpin yang mengamal rasuah? Anda mahu memilih parti yang membenarkan rasuah?”
How do you answer these? Maybe it’s time to get that Oxford-educated grey matter of his down to work for a change this time around.
Regardless whether he actually done it or not (bribe I meant), in politics perception always play a role. If not why do you think the mass bought Anwar’s Sept 16 plan hook, line and sinker?
He may be smart, articulate, strong-willed, arrogant and all that jazz but personally he’s liability to UMNO and the Government at large at this moment and I’m yet to be convinced otherwise.
Someone once told me. “Two things to avoid in life; politics and drugs”.

Son of a… Mish. I forgot to mention. It dawned on me that perhaps you got political blood coursing through your veins. I don’t doubt that when your lesser half makes it in mainstream UMNO politics, you’ll be ready to make ‘em Balkies ladies look like old hags. Yes, m’lady we need you to sex things up. And you don’t necessarily have to wear pink.
