About Elviza
A reluctant lawyer, a mediocre musician and sometimes, just a wanderer. A mother to Luqman Zain; a wife to Jefree Zain. A daughter, a sister and mainly just “Kak Long” to the rest of the family. She seeks solace in books and reading materials. At her best when she sails the pencil across her treasured Moleskine; at her worst when she has nothing to read while waiting in line.
She moonlights at a law firm, and sometimes toys with the idea of completing that coffee table book for Mercy Malaysia a tad too much. She has been begging her friend – who sits on Mercy Malaysia Committee Board – to send her to Afghanistan, in her bid to save the world, to no avail.
She spends too much time and money at Starbucks, Vincent Tan should really offer her the first franchise deal. She spends to much money at MPH, too, Syed Mokhtar should give her a darn medal.

Happened to stumble upon your blog after visiting Nuraina Samad’s. I always wonder how you bloggers find the time to blog despite having demanding career and juggling the time with family, work, etc… Noted that you are ex-KT-MRSMer & a practising lawyer – wonder whether you know my sis, Wizana Abd. Kadir, who happened to be a lawyer too? Plus, I’m ex-S’ban-MRSMer, the 1st badge though, now all grey-haired and with less hair of course! My family & I came to Dhahran, Saudi in May this year… and coincidentally, my eldest daughter just went back home couple of weeks back to do her Law Foundation at UiTM – she insisted of doing law and they don’t have law for A Level here… another lawyer in the making. The answer is quite easy actually. Lawyering is a job: I got to do it. Writing is a passion: No problem whatsoever there as time would not intefere with passion. Motherhood is a gift from God: how can you not enjoy it? But Sir, if you really need to know, I don’t really sleep much and hence I have more time. Unfortunately, I dont happen to know Wizana, different batch perhaps? Good luck to your daughter and I know that she will have fun in law school – well, I did. ..when trams were still in the planning stages, meadowhall was THE place to go & Take That was the latest craze.
Ahh, what a shame. We never met then, I took my SPM in 1992. So, I am your junior by few years. But we do know of Filey Street! And by the time I went there, the tram was in full service and Meadowhall is THE place to do on a date! Good day Sir.
