Our Story – Part II

My senior in Sheffield – Keflee – called me out of the blue yesterday. The last time I heard from him was when I received the flowers shortly after Luqman was born. Ah, Keflee. One thing I can never forget about Keflee is that he sings beautifully. One of the songs he always sing whilst strumming his guitar at his house in Stafford Road is this –

Can I hear it again Keflee? Soon enough I hope.

  1. I’ve always love this classic hit, Elviza.

The last part of the lyrics is sad but very true..’coz I’ve experienced it recently.

“There’s a danger in loving somebody too much
And it’s sad when you know its your heart they can’t touch
There’s a reason why people don’t stay who they are
Cause baby sometimes love just ain’t enough…”

    Happy weekend.

    Dear Jemima,

*Hugs back* Hope everything is okay at your end dear…

  2. Hey E,

I thought you’re gonna steer away from ‘lovey dovey’ stuff after Sleepless.

Now you came up with this?

Dang! And I still gotta sing ‘Small Town Woman’ for you know who.

    Hey Shar,

Where got lovey dovey one? This is just a song my old friend used to sing to us all. No lovey dovey stuff anymore okay? At least for while. Thats what you call her now? – “you know who” LOL

  3. Like Farina, I have not heard this song in a while. Lovely. Thanks.

I just listened to Pavarotti’s Ave Maria (Schubert) in Rajahram’s blog. That is one beautiful song too. Perfect for a wedding song.

    Dear Jac,

Ah, Pavarotti… his death saddens many hearts in the world. Off to find Rajahram’s blog and time to turn up the volume.

  4. Salam Elviza:

I remember in the 80’s Don Henly sang this song, but not sure with the Eagles or a solo effort. haven’t heard this song for almost 20 years. Thank you for sharing it with us.
I’m sure Keflee had a good voice.

Apsal malam2 belum tido nih? Nak jadi burung hantu yer? Now, you heard the song after 20 years! Thanks to me… he he he 🙂

  5. Lately Mr. Kepot is in cloud 9. Heheheheee… Soon, the only bachelor of the lot would be Muz… For more info: ask the man himself. He’s head over heel with someone… finally!!

I intend to gather everybody for buka puasa or during Hari Raya this year. Selamat Berpuasa.

are u serious? good for him then. Poor Muz, he’ll be the last standing single man in the group. Who is the girl? I am gonna call him shortly.

When are we meeting up? Lets do both lah buka puasa & hari raya. What say you? Love to Kak Long & the kids
