World Book Day

Today is World Book Day. Go on reading, there is nothing more powerful than knowledge.

Times Bookstore is giving 20% discount on all titles in conjunction with this widely-celebrated day. MPH outlets are having their sale until end of the month. Awang Goneng’s Growing Up in Trengganu is retailed at 30% off the original price tag – that is awfully generous of them. It should boost up the sale of this local classic again.

While you are reading the title of your choice, I will be off to somewhere quiet for a while – or rather for a week or so – to hold Jefree close and Luqman closer away from our everyday routine. Most importantly, away from the office.Β

Don’t mess up the furniture folks! Hopefully, I’ll be writing from Sleepless wherever I am…

  1. elviza, enjoy your break and treasure those moments being close to each other. Anyway, GUiT has gone into its 3rd print now -all of this in less than six months eh? Thanks for the support. I think the Malay version is in the pipeline.

Oh, Kak Teh… GUiT has done all of us proud. Thanks isn’t due to us. The book is a masterpiece in its own right. Salam to Awang Goneng.

  2. Hi Elv,

Hmmm… somewhere tropical I quess, let me make a wild quess. Bali maybe… or perhaps Sydney… or a long haul flight somewhere in Europe. Where ever you are dear, make the most out of it. Enjoy the warmth of your toddler’s skin and of course the other half too. ; )

    Dear Sally,

Eh,tak de lah… cuti2 Malaysia saja. Keadaan poket tidak mengizinkan untuk pergi jauh. Ahaks!

  3. Hei ya Elviza

It has been a while eh. Where ever u and family may be heading, enjoy the trip. I so long for my own getaway with hubby 😦

Have tons of fun and take care!

    Dear KC,

Usually holidays with little Luke would be tiring because I have to chase him around. All the same though, I have always loved holiday.

  4. Elv,
Enjoy ur leave… berkempen for election ke? πŸ™‚
anyhow, we look forward to reading ur next posting, perhaps on ur getaway

    Take care!

    Dear J’da,

Oh no… saya tak berkempen, suami saya seorang sahaja dah cukup lah tuh. Cannot have two strong politicians at home, hancus!

  5. wow, i didn’t know that. but i do know one thing, an international book festival will be taking place sometime next month. the reason i know this is because my sweet honeycomb darling will be deeply involved and i wont be geting much of her.

    enjoy your break.

your darling is an avid reader I assume? You one lucky man.

  6. Hmmm… Luqman’s too young to be in school and you’re already planning to go on a school holiday. How does that work? πŸ˜‰

Just kidding, kiddo. Have a good break. But surely you must first exercise your democratic rights before we let you go eh? πŸ™‚

That s so true – Luke is not of schooling age yet but the children of my partner in the office is in standard one. Since we want to go one holiday together each year we must wait for Farah to have her school break first.

  7. Thanks for the heads-up on the book sale, Elviza.

Enjoy the vacation with your loved ones!

Did you go and buy loads of them Theta? πŸ™‚

  8. I just drop by to say ‘hi’ sis after a long absence.

Oh Hello dear… yup, so long has never seen you here. Hope you are well and happy dear…
