Kalam Aidil Fitri

Library
28 Ramadhan 1429
12:33 p.m.

Malam ini hujan. Kata Nenek, hujan di penghujung ramadhan besar berkatnya. Kemungkinan pintu syurga terbuka luas tatkala lailatul qadar diturunkan.

Terkesima melihat dunia lalu tangkas melupakan asal usul.

Masa untuk pulang ke kampung halaman. Salam Aidil Fitri.

Note to self: never read books on Hari Raya, Mama hates it when you do that. Kata adek, “jangan nak anti-sosial, pegi beraya!

Semoga Allah swt merahmati segala amalan kita. Amin.

  2. To my favourite writer,

    Andai langkah membekas lara
    Andai kata merangkai dusta
    Andai tingkah menoreh luka
    Izinkan saya bersimpuh sila
    Menghulurkan tangan di bulan mulia
    Memohon ampun meminta maaf
    Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri

  3. Whenever I read your “karangan,” I jez feel like doing that ad where this little girl said “boleh tak awak jadi kakak saya? Boleh tak? Boleh kan…”

Selamat hari raya Elviza. Remember those who dont have anyone.

  4. Hi there sis, it’s been quite sometime since I last
patron your sweet writings but I always remember dropping by to say “Selamat hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir Dan Batin”to all celebrants. Drive carefully and good journey home. Saya suka kuih lapis tetapi tidak tahu rumah awak. Tidak apa, tapi enjoy ya? Sungguh?πŸ™‚

  5. Wah, Elviza ni pandai nulis kok Melayu jugak, deh!:-)

But it feels a bit odd since I’m very used to seeing yours in English. Someone said the same thing to me when I wrote a few paragraphs in standard Malay at the Recovery site.

Hmm, I wonder what it’ll be like should Mat Bangkai write something in Malay? Maybe there’s something at his site hidden somewhere…

  6. Oh, terlupa:
That one about not to spend any time reading A BOOK on Raya – YES, that’s good and sound advice.

Take it from this certified anti-social type (and had paid the price) for I’ve done such things over the years (including going over to a few Usenet groups to pick/continue fights).

Raya is a day to meet, speak and listen to people. This year (as from Raya 2006 when I was in `pusat’), I’ll try my very best not to repeat my mistakes of the past with my “doing my own thang”

  7. Salam Elviza,

Selamat menghayati hari hari Ramadhan yang terakhir ini. Semoga panjang umur untuk bersama Ramadhan tahun depan. Amin.

Have a blessed Aidil Fitri with your family and loved ones.

    Take care.

  9. Hai Elviza,

Have a blessed and great Raya at Kelantan minus your book, laptop, B’ berry or all that KL addictions.

Sweet to hear that other part of you, the kampung feeling.

  10. I refresh my memory in re-writing and re-wishing Elviza & Family and all Malaysians in the celebrative mood “Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri” as the day is drawing nearer. Godspeed… ;D

And who is so “kay-po” (nosy) for wishing you twice. It’s Harrison bin Hansome. Hahahaha.

bila baca entry you ni,akak teringat kenangan masa kecik dulu..abah akan bertakbir bila malam raya, dan kami akan ikut sama sama. Kini walau pun abah masih hidup tapi akak tak dengar lagi takbir nya sebab kita masing2 dah punya keluarga sendiri. Walau pun dekat tapi jauhhh.
